At Mt. Pilgrim, our Baptism Ministry is devoted to guiding believers through this sacred act of obedience, where old things pass away and all things become new in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Baptism is not just a ritual—it’s a declaration of faith, a symbol of transformation, and a public testimony that says, “I belong to Jesus.”

As ministers’ wives, we are not just supporters but spiritual leaders. Proverbs 31:25 reminds us that we are clothed with strength and dignity, walking forward with faith and confidence in God’s plan. We are called to wisdom and instruction (Proverbs 31:26), offering guidance to those around us. We embody the qualities described in 1 Timothy 3:11 — respectable, trustworthy, and full of integrity. Our influence goes beyond the walls of your home.

We walk confidently, knowing our singleness is a season of purpose, not pause. We are a community of Christ-centered singles rooted in God’s Word, growing in faith, and living purposefully. This Ministry concentrates on strengthening your relationship with God while living the best life as a single Christian.
Deacons are called to be the Pastor’s hands and feet, meeting his needs as he meets the needs of God’s people with compassion and strength. We are not left to serve in our power. The Holy Spirit empowers us to lead with wisdom, discernment, and boldness. “Deacons must first be tested; if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.” – 1 Timothy 3:10
Our leadership is not about position or authority but about service and walking alongside the Pastor as he guides others in their faith journey.

We recognize that when we serve the shepherd, we strengthen the whole flock. We lead with quiet strength, work with willing hearts, and pray with fierce faith. Just like Aaron and Hur held up Moses’ arms (Exodus 17:12), we are here to hold up the arms of the one God has appointed to lead.

Pilgrim’s Saving Lives Health & Wellness Ministry supports the vision of our Pastor to minister to the whole man through health education, prevention methods, and awareness events to promote spiritual, physical, and emotional health.
We invite you to join us at 9:00 a.m. every Sunday! “Our Sunday School ministry is dedicated to planting the unchanging truth of God’s Word into every heart, young and old so that lives are transformed by His love, guided by His Spirit, and equipped to serve His purpose.”
We help train children in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6). We also empower members and visitors to prepare better to fulfill the Great Commission of teaching the lost after reaching the lost. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Matthew 28:19

The Transportation Ministry is a vehicle for ministry in motion. Every mile we drive is a mission field on wheels, whether we’re picking someone up for Sunday worship, a midweek Bible study, or a special event. We don’t just drive; we deliver hope, carry purpose, and create a path for people to encounter God.
Knowing that sometimes the first step into the church… begins with a ride, we serve with excellence, compassion, and a heart full of faith with every ride, ensuring that no one is left behind, overlooked, or forgotten. We are the link between someone’s need and God’s presence.
Every box of food and clothing is an act of love—a physical reminder that God sees, cares, and provides. In a world where many lack, we stand in the gap, offering hope and assistance without hesitation or judgment. The mission of the Food Pantry & Clothing Bank Ministry is more than just providing food and clothing; it’s about restoring dignity, demonstrating compassion, and being the hands and hearts of Jesus to those in need.”
Matthew 25:35-36 – “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink… I needed clothes and you clothed me.” This ministry fulfills Christ’s direct call to care for the least of these.

The Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church Media Ministry co-labors with the Pastor in fulfilling the great commission by delivering the Word of God through audio, visual, and social media during all worship services or other scheduled church functions. We are an integral part of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church’s commitment to John 12:32, of “lifting up” the gospel of Jesus Christ, so that all men would be drawn unto Him. Our goal is to develop the electronic, print, and broadcast ministries of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church with the highest standard of excellence in all these areas.

The Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church Outreach Ministry is an extension of our Pastor’s heart to reach the lost and serve the Tuscaloosa community. Our Outreach Ministry is a living expression of Christ’s love in action. We step beyond the church doors to meet people where they are: spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Guided by faith and fueled by compassion, we carry the light of Jesus into our communities through service, prayer, and presence, believing that true Ministry begins where the walls end.

Our Sick and Shut-In Ministry answers Christ’s call to compassionate action, bringing His love and presence to those confined by illness or circumstance. Following Jesus’ example, we move beyond the church walls, visiting, praying, and uplifting the hearts of those in need. Every visit is an act of worship, every prayer a gift of grace, a living testimony that the body of Christ is one family, united in love and service.

The Praise and Worship Team is called to lead God’s people in lifting their voices and hearts in adoration, reverence, and thanksgiving. With every note, every chord, and every word sung, we enter into the presence of the Most High. Our purpose is to create an atmosphere where His Spirit can move freely, allowing hearts to be touched, lives to be transformed, and worship to rise like incense before His throne. We are not just musicians; we are vessels of His glory, honored to lead His people in the sound of His praise.

The Usher Ministry is a vital part of creating an atmosphere of reverence, hospitality, and order in the house of the Lord. As ushers, we are the first faces who welcome God’s people into His presence, offering a warm greeting and a spirit of hospitality. Our role is to ensure that everyone feels valued and invited and that the worship service flows smoothly so the focus remains on honoring God. With hearts full of service and hands ready to assist, we stand as stewards of God’s house, guiding His people into an experience of worship and fellowship.
The Greeter Ministry is the first point of contact for all who enter God’s house. We are called to embody Christ’s love through warm smiles, kind words, and a welcoming spirit. As we greet each person, we create an environment where they can feel embraced by God’s presence. Our ministry is an expression of His hospitality, a reminder that every person who enters is valued and cherished. With open hearts and arms, we invite all into the house of the Lord, where they can experience His peace, grace, and love.
As we guide vehicles into their spaces, we are also helping to guide souls into the house of the Lord. We create a welcoming atmosphere with joy and dedication from the moment someone drives onto the property. Our role is more than just parking cars; it’s about setting the tone for a meaningful encounter with God, helping each person arrive ready to worship and receive His word.

Our Children, Youth, and Young Adult Ministry is dedicated to nurturing the next generation’s faith, helping them grow in the knowledge and love of Christ. From the youngest hearts to the young adults ready to take on the world, we are committed to providing a safe, inspiring, and empowering space where faith can flourish. Through teachings, fellowship, and opportunities to serve, we guide them to build a solid foundation in Christ that will carry them through every season of life.
